FORM B OF SCHEDULE II (REGULATION 4)

MEASUREMENT UNITS, STANDARDS AND SERVICES ACT,NO.35 OF 1995

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION OF PERSONSTO SELL OR REPAIR OR MANUFACTURE WEIGHTS, MEASURES OR WEIGHING AND MEASURING INSTRUMENTS

2. Every weight measure or weighing or measuring instrument repaired by a person or institution holding a Certificate of Registration for the repair of authorized weights, measures or weighing and measuring instruments shall be in compliance with the relevant regulation and Act.

3. A technical officer holding Certificate of Registration for repairing authorized weights, measures or weighing or measuring instruments, in one place or an institution shall not apply for registration in another place or an institution.

4. A person or an institution holding a Certificate of Registration for the sale of authorized weights, measures or weighing or measuring instruments shall sell or possess for sale only the weights, measures or weighing or measuring instruments stamped by an Inspector. The verification certificate issued by the Inspector shall be issued to the purchaser.

5. Registration of an institution shall become cancelled , when the post of Technical Officer becomes vacant.

(a)Upon the death of the Technical Officer; or

(b) On his registration from the institution; or

(c) On the determination that the Technical Officer in incapable of performing the functions of his office by means of his illness or mental or physical infirmity.

6. The Director may cancel the registration whenever the person an institution concerned fails to fulfill the above conditions.
